Round Table Topic:  Shaping the Contribution of Social Care Data

At iCareHealth we have the privilege of working with Vic Rayner, Executive Director of the National Care Forum and the NCF Member community who’ve joined in on the discussions around technology and data.

Earlier this year, the  NCF and KareInn ran a Roundtable with the theme, ‘Unlocking Data’s Potential.’  Vic summed up the March event in her blog post  ‘We know what is possible – so what do we need?‘ NCF continued the discussion with a specialist panel session at their Annual Conference in May – Taking Care Forward.

The answer to that question has evolved in to a new series of Roundtable events, Shaping the Role of Data in Social Care. The key focus of these sessions will be to get the right people around the table to talk about the key issues impacting on social care.

Hosted by Vic Rayner and iCareHealth Director Peter Shergill, the three events will bring together suppliers, commissioners and providers in a unique opportunity to both capture and drive forward the agenda on:

  • Interoperability between data sources and systems within the provider environment.  For background on Interoperability click here.
  • Sharing of data across health and social care – filling in the gaps in care pathways. Here the focus is on the value of the data captured to the wider health economy (especially when the resident/patient transitions in and out of the provider care setting).
